The Epsilon DVD is alright as this DVD should be treated as a piece of ART, it's more a concert movie than a simple concert documentation - that's why it contains all kinds of stylistic modern elements as for example black and white, monochrome and couloured passages. |
- Dvorák New World No.9
- Traffic Of Silence
- Vault Of The Heaven
- Tropic Of Capricorn
- Drunken Mozart In The Desert
- Pinnacles Part One
- Scarlet Score For Mescalero
- Maroubra Bay
- Pinnacles Part Two
- Heatwave City
- One Night In Space
- Serpent Magique
These elements contribute to the special atmosphere of the DVD. Hope you like it!:-)
The first and maybe the only time you will see and hear Edgar Froese performing his solo compositions created from the mid seventies until today.
The Tangerine Dream line up gave him a wonderful support at the Technical University of Eindhoven in the Netherlands on April 13th 2008.
As a lot of Edgar's music had been composed during his worldwide journeys you will also see many private intimate picture cuttings which are telling stories about his laptop-mini-keyboard adventures in the deserts to the oceans. Enjoy this exclusive extraordinary Edgar Froese - Tangerine Dream DVD with its special atmosphere!
2008. Press Information
As stated in the press information it maybe the first and only time to see this performance. The only one who where at the gig have seen the performance. On the dvd which is for sure of excellent sound and visual quality is nothing left of the real performance.
Its just that your looking to a movie and not to a live concert. I was at the gig and keeps it still mind, my first TD/EF performance but the dvd will be stored and probably stays there for a long time. Most of the time dvd is not in colour but only black and white. If you have no dvd of TD don't buy this one but than the Tempodrom concert which much better to look at.
2008. André Stooker / The Netherlands
As one of the organizers I was present in the building, but as usual I (almost) missed the complete show. I saw a bit of the beginning and a bit in the middle, and that's it. So I was very curious how the dvd would turn out, and I must say I like it a lot.
It's an atmospheric dvd where the concert is shown in black & white, and all the 'spheric' parts are in color. I understand that those of you who visited the concert, look at the dvd different than those who did not attend, but the music, the enthusiasm of the artists, and the atmosphere that the dvd breaths, is excellent. Not forgetting the music which is a joy to listen too. Especially the old songs like Stuntman. I have no doubt that some of the live recordings were replaced or 'upgraded' in the studio, but personally I don't care.
This concert sounds as the one I would loved to have seen, and that's all that matters to me. So this is a must-have for those who wanted to be there, and in my opinion also a good souvenir for those who were there.
