This time, the pieces are not typical representatives of the “Berlin School”—characterized by abundant sequencing and lengthy solos. Rather, they present a hypnotic, minimalist variation. One might even describe the tracks as “epic” or “suggestive.” In a very distant way, they are reminiscent of works by Steve Reich and Philip Glass. They are lengthy pieces—which, after all, do bring the “Berlin School” to mind once again.
