To answer right away: yes, there is!
Anyone familiar with TIRA already knows that its themes are approached with
freshness, entirely new ideas, and realized with professional dedication. In this
symphony, a different, fresh, and ambitious framework is offered for this
special musical journey, directly connected to space exploration. Sounds and
sequences from the radio communications of the Apollo missions are
complemented by passages of the spherical musical background radiation
captured during the Voyager, Cassini, and New Horizons missions to the
planets.
For the first time, poetic text passages describing the celestial bodies are
woven in—texts that merge scientific insights with mythological aspects. These
were contributed by Wilfried Schüller. In this way, tribute is paid to the events
unfolding in the depths of space and they are set in relation to the significance
of transient human existence within this universe. The attentive listener
becomes part of a consciousness-expanding journey.
The collaboration between the talented and versatile composer Ralf Gülpen and
