Like “The Damo Suzuki Sessions” this album was recorded a few years ago featuring work mostly with a single notable musician rather than a wide range of collaborators. Arthur of course is famous for his worldwide No.1 hit “Fire” and for his improvised vocals with Klaus Szhulze on “Dune”, “Time Actor” and various live tracks. His uniquely powerful voice spans fluidly from rock to operatic styles.
The album was partly recorded at the White Noise studio using a software version of the M.A.N.I.A.C. sequencing system.
It includes four epic soundscapes with words by William Blake and W.B. Yeats as well as vocal improvisations. The sonic textures are massed analog string synths, cosmic sounds, heavy analog sequencers, driving sampled percussion and loops, and compelling drum patterns as well as Arthur’s unique voice.
If you ever wished there was a new Klaus Schulze and Arthur Brown album to follow “Dune” and “Time Actor”, this is the one for you…
