As stated in the press information it maybe the first and only time to see this performance. The only one who where at the gig have seen the performance. On the dvd which is for sure of excellent sound and visual quality is nothing left of the real performance.
Its just that your looking to a movie and not to a live concert. I was at the gig and keeps it still mind, my first TD/EF performance but the dvd will be stored and probably stays there for a long time. Most of the time dvd is not in colour but only black and white. If you have no dvd of TD don’t buy this one but than the Tempodrom concert which much better to look at.

As one of the organizers I was present in the building, but as usual I (almost) missed the complete show. I saw a bit of the beginning and a bit in the middle, and that’s it. So I was very curious how the dvd would turn out, and I must say I like it a lot.

It’s an atmospheric dvd where the concert is shown in black & white, and all the ‘spheric’ parts are in color. I understand that those of you who visited the concert, look at the dvd different than those who did not attend, but the music, the enthusiasm of the artists, and the atmosphere that the dvd breaths, is excellent. Not forgetting the music which is a joy to listen too. Especially the old songs like Stuntman. I have no doubt that some of the live recordings were replaced or ‘upgraded’ in the studio, but personally I don’t care.

This concert sounds as the one I would loved to have seen, and that’s all that matters to me. So this is a must-have for those who wanted to be there, and in my opinion also a good souvenir for those who were there.

    2008. Kees Aerts
